In February 2023 I started as a product designer in the Banc Sabadell team through the consulting firm Paradigma Digital (INDRA).
I joined the "Savings and Investment" team with the objective of creating the flows corresponding to the bank deposits that arose from the demand for this product due to the rise in European interest rates and the fact that the competition also began to offer this product.
My Role
Together with a fellow researcher we did a market research exercise before starting to design the flow.
Once we carried out this research, I began as the only product designer on the team to create the flow of deposits prior to meetings with business, finance and legal.
Challenge
Create the flow of bank deposits from scratch in the Banc Sabadell App
Goal
Allow users to contract bank deposits taking into account the instructions of the financial & legal departaments
Conceptualization
The conceptualization process started with numerous meeting between “stakeholders” to clarify what we wanted to do and how we were going to define the roadmap.
Once we had a clear roadmap, we began with the construction of the main flow and incorporated the ideas of the various stakeholders, including business, marketing, legal, finance and Sabadell's own internal design team since they work under a own design system called Galatea.
This allowed us to perform a quick analysis to have a global vision of the project.
Prototype
In order to test whether we were correct, I built a first prototype with which to start a user test to verify if we were on the correct way and point out possible misunderstandings and pain-points.
I used Figma as because it is the internal tool of Banc Sabadell.
User testing
To verify the flows and understand the friction that users could have during the deposit contracting flow, several test were carried out with Userzoom tool that Banc Sabadell normally uses in it's internal team to carry out analysis and validation.
These test helped us improve some aspects of the application and defend these changes before the various stakeholders who participated in the definition process of this product.

Implementing inputs
The analyzes and research carried out concluded in a series of improvements that we presented to the team to discuss and implement.
After the implemetation of theses improvements, we began to prepare the reviews by Banc Sabadell's internal design system team in order to be able to correctly pass the design to the Minsait development team (INDRA).
Once of this first flow was launched, we continued improving with subsequent iterations so that it could continue to evolve.
